    SHATTER SHIELD FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS:
SCORE does not at this time require shatter shields for automatic transmissions. SCORE understands that
due to space restraints and the heat that automatic transmissions produce, conventional Kevlar blankets will
not work with most vehicles competing in SCORE events. SCORE now recommends that material strong
enough to direct parts away from vehicle occupants in case of transmission failure should be installed. All
vehicles can have and should have metal plates either inside or outside of the tunnel structure. Plates should
be securely mounted or welded in place and should be located from the transmission oil pump to the
beginning of the rear tail shaft.

    FIREWALLS:
Firewalls are not only for engines and fuel cells. All fuel barring lines, filters, and pumps must be separated
from the drivers compartment by a fire wall. Fuel injected fuel pumps are high pressure and can pump a lot of
fuel in a short time. Fuel pumps are not allowed in the drivers compartment.

    REAR LIGHTS:
Amber, tail, and brake lights must be visible from the rear. Their view must not be obstructed by spare tires,
    parts, or body parts.

    FIRE EXTINGUISHER MOUNTS:
It is a good practice to check your fire extinguisher mounts before each race to make sure the mounts are
    clean and will release properly.

    SAFETY HARNESS:
SCORE only accepts 3 inch wide safety harness. This means 3 inches from its mount point to its end.

SCORE LITES - Type 1 VW Engine Option:
DISCLAIMER - If SCORE at anytime during the racing season determines that any engine
has an advantage, we may equalize that engine by any means including, but not restricted to:
reduction in cc, venturi size restriction, the use of a restrictor, etc.
DISPLACEMENT - Seat vehicles maximum displace 2020cc. Two seat vehicles maximum displace 2120cc.
    Any bore/stroke combination is allowed.
CARBURETORS & MANIFOLDS - Individual runner manifolds only, no balance tube. 1.750 inch (1 3/4")
OD maximum runner size. No Plenum Manifolds allowed. VW OE End Castings only allowed, with any
modifications allowed. Maximum of 1 carburetor allowed. Weber 44IDF & EMPI HPMX 44 carburetor only

CLASS 10 - NO CHANGE TO ENGINE RULES:
The engine rules for Class 10 will remain at the 2011 level as stated in the 2011-15 SCORE Rulebook. SCORE
will not implement the 2012 changes. This hold will remain until further notice. If SCORE decides to implement
these engine changes, there will be a minimum of one year notice.

    CLASS 2 - ENGINE SIZE:
Engine size is increased to 3.6 liter.
