At just 23 years old, Pierce Herbst has already established himself as one of SCORE's most promising young talents, building an impressive resume in the world's most demanding desert races. Coming from the legendary Herbst racing family, highlighted in SCORE Journal's feature on the sport's most influential dynasties, Pierce has proven he carries the family legacy with distinction.
His breakthrough performance came at the 2020 SCORE Baja 1000, where he captured a remarkable second-place class finish in the world's premier desert race. This early success demonstrated his natural ability to navigate the brutal 1000-mile course that breaks even seasoned veterans. Pierce followed this achievement with another podium performance at the 2022 SCORE Baja 1000, earning third place in his class and cementing his reputation as a consistent threat in SCORE's most prestigious event.
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Pierce represents the next generation of desert racing excellence. His back-to-back Baja 1000 podium finishes showcase not only his driving talent but also his team's preparation and mechanical reliability – crucial elements for success in SCORE's punishing championship series. With multiple podium finishes already under his belt, Pierce Herbst continues building toward his first overall victory.
