Biography

Making his mark in the ultra-competitive Pro UTV division, this 57-year-old Pennsylvania native has established himself as a formidable force in SCORE desert racing. His breakthrough victory came at the 2013 SCORE Baja 1000, where he teamed with Mark Holz to capture the Pro UTV class championship in the grueling 883-mile Ensenada to Ensenada course, defeating a field of 251 starters with only 117 finishers.

That historic class win represented a significant milestone in the evolution of UTV racing within the SCORE series, coming during a period when side-by-side vehicles were rapidly gaining prominence in desert racing. His triumph helped legitimize the Pro UTV class as a serious championship division alongside the traditional truck and buggy categories.

The Pennsylvania competitor has demonstrated remarkable consistency in one of desert racing's most challenging environments, successfully navigating the treacherous Baja Peninsula terrain that has ended countless racing dreams. His ability to maintain focus and mechanical reliability over nearly 900 miles of unforgiving desert showcases the preparation and skill required to compete at SCORE's highest levels.

His Baja 1000 class victory stands as testament to his dedication to the sport and his capability to perform when championship points are on the line.
