Barry Karakas

Fort Worth, TX - #20L

Biography

A proven veteran of SCORE desert racing, this Fort Worth competitor has demonstrated remarkable consistency and skill across multiple decades of off-road competition. Most notably, he served as co-driver for the legendary Robbie Pierce's Trophy Truck team (#30) during the grueling 2017 SCORE Baja 1000, completing the epic 1,134-mile journey from Ensenada to La Paz in just over 25 hours and 54 minutes to secure a hard-fought 13th place finish overall.

Racing alongside Pierce and Mike Julson in their Ford F-150, he helped navigate one of the most challenging courses in off-road racing history during the 50th anniversary running of the world's most prestigious desert race. The event featured 404 entries from 44 U.S. states and 28 countries, with only 58 percent of starters reaching the finish line, making their completion a testament to preparation, skill, and endurance.

His experience in the Trophy Truck class, desert racing's premier unlimited category, showcases his ability to compete at the highest levels of the sport. Having raced against legends like Robby Gordon, the McMillin family, and Cameron Steele, he brings decades of desert racing knowledge and proven performance to every competition.
