Biography

Fresh off his most recent SCORE desert racing campaigns, Matt Scarpuzzi continues to demonstrate why he's become a respected name in Baja's punishing terrain. The 45-year-old Alpine, California native has carved out an impressive career navigating the legendary peninsula courses that have challenged racers for over five decades.

Scarpuzzi's journey through SCORE International's premier events showcases his evolution from determined competitor to accomplished desert racer. His participation in the historic 50th Anniversary season opener at the King Shocks 36th SCORE San Felipe 250 placed him among the record 290 entries that made it the third-largest field in the race's history. Racing alongside legends like Luke McMillin and the competitive Trophy Truck field, Scarpuzzi has proven his mettle against SCORE's elite competition.

Operating from the heart of Southern California's off-road racing community, Scarpuzzi brings technical expertise and unwavering determination to each race. His commitment to the sport reflects the pioneering spirit that Mickey Thompson and Sal Fish envisioned when they established SCORE International in 1973, carrying forward the adventure and excitement that defines Baja racing across the rugged Mexican peninsula.
