Building on a legendary 2017 SCORE Baja 1000 Class 7 championship victory, this Montana desert racing veteran continues to demonstrate exceptional endurance and skill in the world's most challenging off-road events. At 65, he conquered the entire Baja peninsula in his #726 Ford Ranger, leading a powerhouse team including Bob Brunken, Dr. Macrae Glass, Dave Baesken, Chad Baesken, and Jim Sizelove to victory in the grueling 1,000-mile test of man and machine.

The Columbus, Montana-based racer's championship run showcased remarkable perseverance through mechanical challenges, including mid-race alternator and carburetor replacements, while battling through treacherous silt sections that claimed many competitors. His 29:36:18 finishing time at 38.32 mph demonstrated the consistency and strategic approach that separates champions from the field in Class 7's production mini-truck category.

Beyond his Baja 1000 triumph, his racing resume includes a notable ProTruck class victory at the 2002 SCORE Baja 500, highlighting his versatility across different vehicle categories. His successful transition between classes and proven ability to lead diverse co-driver teams reflects the adaptability and leadership qualities essential for SCORE desert racing success, establishing him as a respected competitor in the sport's most demanding events.
