Registration Open for the King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 

The opening round of the 2026 SCORE International World Desert Championship will roar to life from March 25 to 29 in the municipality of San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. The event will once again showcase the fan-favorite contingency and technical inspection at the iconic San Felipe Malecon, along with Method Race Wheels Qualifying, where drivers in five different classes will battle to earn their starting positions

    ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico— For more than three decades, the deserts of San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, have delivered nonstop excitement with the spectacular SCORE San Felipe 250. This iconic event will once again open the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship, with registrations now open at www.Score-International.com. The off-road classic will take place during the popular Spring Break season, adding even more energy to the atmosphere in San Felipe.

    The King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 is the youngest race in the legendary ‘Baja Triple Crown,’ also affectionately known as the ‘Baby of SCORE and Baja.’ Despite its youth, this off-road event has attracted some of the greatest legends in the sport, including Larry ‘Mr. Baja’ Roeseler, Walker Evans, Larry Ragland, Bob Gordon, Manny Esquerra, Corky McMillin, Jack Johnson, Danny Hamel, Dan Smith, and Eric Solorzano.

    This race represents the most important sporting and tourism event on the annual calendar for the municipality of San Felipe, led by Mayor Jose Luis Dagnino Lopez. The event generates a significant economic impact across the region, benefiting local businesses such as hotels, gas stations, restaurants, and automotive and mechanical service shops throughout Baja California’s seventh municipality.

     Thousands of off-road racing fans from across Mexico—including Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Sonora, Sinaloa, Baja California, and Jalisco—will travel to San Felipe in March, joined by spectators from numerous cities in the United States and other countries. Together, they will be part of the kickoff to ‘53 years of SCORE Desert Racing Excellence’.

ONLINE REGISTRATION
     Online registration for the various motorcycle and car classes—within both Pro and Sportsman classes—is available on the official SCORE website. All information related to SCORE races can be found in the race information menu on the website.
     Online race registration will close on Friday, March 13 at 9 p.m. PT. In-person registration at the SCORE office in Ensenada will be held on Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. PT.

EL MALECON: THE ICONIC VENUE FOR THE SAN FELIPE 250

     The contingency row and tech inspection of the bikes and race cars by SCORE technical officials will take place on Friday, March 27, at the San Felipe El Malecon, the same location for the start and finish line of the race, just steps away from the Sea of Cortez.
      The green flag for the racers will be waved on Saturday, March 28, at the San Felipe El Malecon, with the motorcycles starting at 6 a.m., followed by the opening ceremonies at 9:15 a.m., and the first 4-wheel vehicle starting at 10 a.m.
      Pre-race Contingency and Tech Inspection and the start/finish line compound will be located on the picturesque El Malecon in San Felipe along the inspiring azure waters of the Sea of Cortez.
      San Felipe is 125 miles south of the U.S. Border at Calexico, Calif. on the eastern side of the Baja peninsula. All four 2026 SCORE races will be held on Mexico’s magnificent Baja California peninsula for the 11th consecutive year. 

EL DORADO RANCH: THE HOME OF CHAMPIONS

      ESPN X-Games legend Rat Sult, the official voice of SCORE International, will celebrate 11 years in this role within the world’s most prestigious off-road organization. He will lead the awards ceremony for the SCORE San Felipe 250, which will take place on Sunday, March 29, at the El Dorado Ranch Pavilion starting at 11:00 a.m. PT.

       This event, serving as the ‘grand finale’ of the Round 1 of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship, will honor the winners of the spectacular off-road race across more than 40 Pro and sportsman classes for motorcycles, trucks and cars.

     A new, more user-friendly format is now available for media registration, thanks to the vision of Jack Wright from nMedia3, always aiming to provide maximum coverage opportunities for the press throughout the SCORE season. The deadline for online media registration is Friday, March 20.

    The SCORE Media Center will also offer in-person registration at the Hotel Stella del Mar in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, on Wednesday, March 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT; Thursday, March 26, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT; and Friday, March 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT.

METHOD RACE WHEELS QUALIFYING
     For just the six time in the history of this popular ‘Spring Break’ race, SCORE will once again hold the Method Race Wheels qualifying session starting at 7 a.m. PT on Thursday, March 26 to determine the starting positions within each class for the SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE TT 2WD, SCORE TT Legend, Class 1 and Trophy Truck Spec classes.

     The starting order for qualifying in each class will be determined by the date and time that the registration entry is received. Entries received in the qualifying classes received after Friday, March 13 will be given the next available starting slot within their respective classes.

     The original SCORE International was founded in 1973 by the late Mickey Thompson and headed by Sal Fish from 1974 until Fish sold SCORE International to Roger and Elise Norman on Dec. 20, 2012. SCORE continues as the premier sanctioning body in the sport of desert racing. La primera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International se realizará del 25 al 29 de Marzo en el municipio de San Felipe, Baja California, México; contando con la popular revisión mecánica en el Malecón de San Felipe, y la Calificación Method Race Wheels para definir el orden de arranque en 5 clases diferentes

 

     Ensenada, Baja California, México– Ya son más de 3 décadas de emociones por los desiertos de San Felipe, Baja California, México, con la espectacular SCORE San Felipe 250, primera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International que cuenta ya con inscripciones abiertas en www.Score-International.com, carrera fuera de camino que se vivirá en el marco del popular “Spring Break”.

      La edición 39 de la King Shocks SCORE San Felipe 250 es la carrera más joven de la llamada “Triple Corona de Baja”, también conocida como la “Bebé de SCORE y Baja”, carrera fuera de camino en la que han participado leyendas del Off-Road como Larry “Mr. Baja” Roeseler, Walker Evans, Larry Ragland, Bob Gordon, Manny Esquerra, Corky McMillin, Jack Johson, Danny Hamel, Dan Smith y Eric Solórzano.

EL MALECÓN DE SAN FELIPE, SEDE MÁGICA DE LA 250

        La revisión mecánica y la inspección técnica de los vehículos participantes por parte de oficiales técnicos de SCORE, se realizará el Viernes 27 de Marzo en el Malecón de San Felipe, mismo escenario para la zona de arranque y meta del evento, a unos pasos solamente de las aguas del Mar de Cortez.
         El banderazo de salida para los corredores, será el Sábado 28 de Marzo en el Malecón de San Felipe, con las motocicletas arrancando a las 6 de la mañana, a las 9:15 de la mañana se realizará la ceremonia de apertura de la SCORE San Felipe 250, y a las 10 de la mañana arrancará el primer vehículo de 4 ruedas..
         San Felipe se encuentra a 201 kilómetros de la garita fronteriza de los Estados Unidos en Calexico, California, en el lado este de la península de Baja California, y contando con el majestuoso Mar de Cortez a un costado solamente. Las 4 fechas de SCORE en este 2026, se realizarán en México, en específico, dentro de la península de Baja California, algo que sucederá por onceavo año en fila. 

EL DORADO RANCH, EL LUGAR DE LOS CAMPEONES

        La leyenda viviente de los X-Games de ESPN, Rat Sult, la voz oficial de SCORE International, cumplirá 11 años en esa labor dentro de la organización más prestigiada a nivel mundial dentro del Off-Road, quien encabezará la ceremonia de premiación de la SCORE San Felipe 250 que se realizará el Domingo 29 de Marzo en el Pabellón del Rancho El Dorado a partir de las 11 de la mañana, tiempo del Pacífico.

        Esta actividad que será el “broche de oro” en la primera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International, servirá para reconocer a los ganadores de la espectacular carrera fuera de camino en las más de 40 clases profesionales y sportsmans para motocicletas y carros.

LA CALIFICACIÓN METHOD RACE WHEELS
       Por sexta ocasión dentro de la historia de la popular carrera de “Spring Break”, SCORE llevará a cabo la Calificación Method Race Wheels, evento que se realizará el Jueves 26 de Marzo a partir de las 7 de la mañana, tiempo del Pacífico, para definir la “parrilla de salida” en las siguientes categorías, SCORE Trophy Trucks, SCORE Trophy Trucks 2WD, SCORE Trophy Trucks Legend, Clase 1 y Trophy Truck Spec.
        Los registros de corredores que se reciban después del Viernes 13 de Marzo, contarán con el siguiente espacio disponible en cada una de las categorías que estarán calificando. El orden de calificación será definirá en SCORE, de acuerdo a la fecha en que cada equipo llene su registro por internet.
        La Calificación Method Race Wheels es una actividad sin acceso a espectadores, evento que contará con una ruta en una propiedad privada, misma que no forma parte de la ruta oficial de la SCORE San Felipe 250.

HISTORIA DE SCORE

          La organización deportiva SCORE International fue fundada en 1973 por el fallecido Mickey Thompson y dirigida por Sal Fish desde 1974 hasta que Fish vendió SCORE International a Roger y Elise Norman el 20 de diciembre de 2012.

          SCORE continúa siendo el organismo sancionador principal en el deporte de las carreras fuera de camino.
